Welcome to ALL, NEW YEAR REVIVAL 2011 IS OPEN TO ALL regardless of religion, denomination, race, age, and whatever else you can think of!!!
New Year Revival 2011 is our 2nd Annual Convention hosted by the youths
and young families of the Mar Thoma Churches in Dallas, Texas.
It is a powerful and blessed experience wherein through the preaching
of the Holy Word, song and prayer all enter into the true meaning and
depth of Christian fellowship! In addition to the evening
revival meetings, we have organized practical seminars and workshops
during the day on January 1, 2011 [10am-5:30pm] to help address and
equip youth, young families and parents struggling with various issues.
The theme for this year's New Year Revival is "AWAKE and
ARISE" based on Revelation 3:1,2 " I know your deeds; you have a
reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up! Strengthen what
remains ad is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in
the sight of my God...". We live in a world that perpetuates a
culture of sleep. What is sleep? Perhaps, we can better understand it
as a physical, cognitive and spiritual state of inactivity. Spiritual
inactivity doesn't just mean doing nothing or laziness; it refers more
to a condition where we close our eyes to the Truth, the Way and the
Life - Jesus Christ! Its a state of imagination that keeps us focused
on ourselves, "our own" world. Essentially, one of the most elusive
forms of spiritual slavery that compels us to crawl around in the dark
of our sin. The resounding voice of the resurrected Jesus
Christ reminds the church at Sardis, "I know your deeds..." and it's
time they and WE WAKE UP! It is we who must make the decision to GET UP
and OPEN OUR EYES to the truth of God that is before us. Nobody can do
it for us!!! So...AWAKE and ARISE!!!!!!! May your eyes be opened to recognize Him, your eyes willing to listen to His voice and your heart submissive to obey Him!
